What is a Street Team? They are a group of loyal fans that get together to help promote The Effort to friends and fellow music listeners on the web and in the street. Members create their own fan sites, post banners, instant message people, visit chatrooms and bulletin boards.
They add links, banners, icons to their signatures. The team spreads the word through-out the world wide web via bulletin board postings and emails. Members also make radio station and video channel requests. Members also can download flyers and posters to put up around town and help promote live gigs.
What does a Street Team do?
Well, like mentioned above...the goal of the Street Team is to spread the word about The Effort. You can post about the band in chat rooms, sending links to music streams of the band's music or links to their site to your friends via email, and by visiting music sites, sports & gaming sites, and your other favorite sites and posting about the band.
Please supply a link to the band's website so new fans can visit and listen to their music. Please do not spam sites with multiple posts. And please be polite when you are representing the band. Remember the goal is to gain new fans.
Promote the band and let us know about what you are doing by sending us feedback and posting your ideas, and questions. Call radio stations and request The Effort's songs. Get your favorite record store in the know by hooking them up with flyers. Basically, be creative and get the word out to as many people as you can!!!
